How to Reach the Faculty of Architecture
The faculty is located close to the public transport stop „Dejvická“ -metro line A, trams, buses.
Arrival by Plane at the Václav Havel Prague Airport
For the transfer from the airport it is possible to take one of the following modes of transportation:
- The Official taxi operators' counters are located at the arrival halls of the Terminals 1 and 2. The departure points are displayed in front of the building.
- Prague Public Transport (MHD) is provided by the metro, trams, and buses from 5 a.m. till midnight, and by night trams and buses (non-stop). Tickets can be bought by yellow vending machines (at the airport, in each Metro station) or at news stands for CZK 32 (75 minutes transfer ticket) or CZK 24 (single ride 30 minutes ticket). Don't forget to buy a ticket at the news-stand or by the yellow machine at the airport and to punch the ticket immediately after boarding the bus.
Locate the stop of the bus 119 in front of the terminal. Take the bus 119 to the end stop „Nádraží Veleslavín“ (runs approx. every 10 minutes from 4:30 am to 11:30 pm) and transfer to metro line “A” - direction „Depo Hostivař“. You need to get off at the „Dejvická“ station which is located close to the Faculty of Architecture. The total travel time from the airport to the Metro station „Dejvická“ is approx. 30 minutes.
Arrival by Train
To get from the Main Railway Station (Praha-Hlavni nadrazi) to the Faculty of Architecture use the red metro line “C” from the „Hlavní nádraží“ station in the direction „Háje“ to the „Muzeum“ station (1 stop, 2 minutes journey). At the „Muzeum“ station change to the green Metro line “A” in the direction „Nemocnice Motol“ and then get off at the „Dejvická“ station (8 minutes).
